Rules:
You need a plastic glass and wooden sticks. Each stick must have a number (all the numbers that you have in your board). In addition, you need to add some stickers with tricks (boom, steal 1, lose 1…). You can add as much as you want to. Boom means that the group loses all the sticks (they must be returned to the plastic glass) , steal 1 means that this person can steal a stick from another group and lose 1 means that this group loses 1 stick.
Once you have these materials ready, your students can start playing. They will be divided into different groups. In order start, one person of one group takes a stick, and look at it to see if there is a number or a trick. If there is a number, the student needs to look at the board and search that number. Then, this students says the word (if you want to improve or review vocabulary) or makes a sentence with that word (if you want to improve or review grammar). For example, if the number 7 is a dog, the students can says: It’s a dog or I can see a dog, depending on the grammar you are practising in your unit.
If the student says a correct answer, he or she can take the stick for his/her group. If the answer is not correct, the stick is returned to the plastic glass. Then, another student from another group does the same.
At the end, the team with more sticks is the winner!
